Hike2 was created as a brand to encompass a number of multi day hikes taken on to raise funds for various charities.
It’s founder Andy Tindale, had previously volunteered on the support team for multiple Ride2 events, mostly providing food for rest stops during the day and taking on a bit of the on the road administration.
After discovering hiking, and really not one for enjoying road riding, he decided that he wanted to complete his only multiple day challenge.
That resulted in the first solo event hike2:Snowdon2Stafford. Completed in June of 2024 the challenge started from his home town and followed a mix of canal paths and national trails through the Midlands and North Wales to reach the summit of Yr Wyddfa. Covering a total of 180 miles and hiking a combined 28,000 feet in elevation gain over the space of nine days.
That has lead to these further planned challenges. Starting from 2026 he will be taking on more long distance routes across the United Kingdom and across the Atlantic Archipelago.
